Grūtas Park
Situated 8km from the spa town of Druskininkai, Grūtas Park is an open-air museum with an amazing collection of Soviet sculptures, busts, Lenins and other relics of the Soviet era. More than 50 comically posed sculptures of Soviet leaders, some of them monstrous in size, are divided into alcoves along trails that twist through the forest.
A trench and watchtowers surrounding the area create the illusion of concentration camp, with the slight difference that its prisoners are now these fanatics of communism, the patriots of the collapsed Soviet regime.
